Treatment of choice for temporal bone fracture with facial nerve palsy:

(a) Nerve decompression(Ref. Scott Brown, 6th ed., 1404)In sudden onset complete palsy following fracture (which is the common presentation) early exploration and decompression of facial nerve or nerve repair should be carried out.Delayed onset palsy, which might be because of surrounding edema, should be treated with steroids and watchful waiting.
