About 95% of testicular tumours are Germ cell tumours. Embryonal carcinoma is a type of non seminomatous germ cell tumour. Pure embryonal carcinoma constitutes 30% of germ cell tumours but areas of embryonal carcinoma are present in about 40% of germ cell tumours.
