Laryngomalaeia produces stridor but no hoarseness because vocal cords are normal. In other conditions listed at (a), (b) and (c) hoarseness is produced due to involvement of vocal cord. Laryngomalaeia is the most common congenital laryngeal anomaly followed by congenital laryngeal paralysis.
