A young male patient presented with UTI. On urine examination pus cells were found but no organisms. Which method would be best used for culture?

Urethritis can be broadly divided into gonococcal and non-gonococcal urethritis. Gonococcal urethritis is caused by Neisseria Gonorrhoeae. Absence of pus cells rules out gonococcal infection. Chlamydia is the most common cause of non gonococcal urethritis accounting for 30-40% of cases.
