The caudate lobe of the liver - It is situated on the posterior surface of the liver. Boundaries of caudate lobe of liver - It is bounded on the right - By the groove for the inferior vena cava, on the left - By the fissure for the ligamentum venosum, and inferiorly - By the poa hepatis. Above - It is continuous with the superior surface of liver.
