Lack of a specific lysosomal hydrolase for glycoproteins cause a group of very rare.autosomal recessive genetic disease called glycoprotein storage diseases(oligosaccharidoses). Lysosomal acid hydrolases are specific for the removal of the component of the glycoprotein.
