Hence,correction of fluid and electrolytes by plasma expanders,blood tranfusion is unavoidable. Plasma expanders exe osmotic forces amd draw fluid from interstitial compament into the intravascular space. Example-dextran 40 reduces viscosity of blood and maintains blood rheology better.
