This is a case of non-gonococcal urethritis due to Chlamydia trachomatis.  Chlamydia trachomatis can be successfully cultivated in McCoy and HeLa cells treated with cycloheximide and grown in monolayer on cover slip in shell vials .….Jawetz 24/e p360
