Eagles syndrome or styloid carotid artery syndrome – due to elongated styloid process C/F - Pain in tonsilar fossa which increases on swallowing with radiation to pre auricular area, ear and lower down in neck. Diagnosis: Digital palpation of tonsifiar fossa. X-ray PNS occipito mental view (with mouth open) and Xray skull lateral oblique view may show an enlarged styloid process.
