NORMAL LOCAL ANESTHETIC Sodium passess through voltage gated sodium channel and cause change in membrane potential and cause depolarization. Local anesthetic attatches to sodium channel and prevents propogation & depolarization. LA also has mild action on potassium calcium and NMDA channels
