The retina receives its blood supply from all of the following, EXCEPT:

Retina has double aerial supply, it receives blood mainly from central retinal aery and also from cilioretinal aery. Central retinal aery is a branch of ophthalmic aery. It extends between the internal limiting membrane and the inner nuclear layer. Cilioretinal aery is derived from the circle of Zinn Haller lying close to optic nerve. Outer plexiform layer of retina is fed from the retinal aerioles and the choroid capillaries. Outer nuclear layer, layer of rods and cones, external limiting membrane and pigment epithelium are supplied by choriocapillaries. Ref: Comprehensive Manual of Ophthalmology By E.
