Postcoital bleeding (PCB) has many causes, including vaginitis, cervicitis, cervical dysplasia and malignancy, uterine lesions, and pregnancy. Some women with postcoital bleeding may have pathologic lesions identified at colposcopic evaluation that had been missed by Pap smear screening.
