Ans. is 'b' i.e., Second to fifth Ribs o Pain with palpation of affected costochondral joints is a constant finding in costochondritis.o The second through the fifth costochondral junctions typically are involved.o More than l junction is involved in more than 90% of patients.o Tietze syndrome is a rare inflammatory disorder characterized by chest pain and swelling of the cartilage of one or more of the upper ribs (costochondral junction)o Tietze syndrome is characterized by mild to severe localized pain and tenderness in one or more of the upper four ribs.o The second or third ribs are most often affected# Arm spindle shaped swelling occurs in this area.# Aching, gripping sharp dull or neurologic pain occurs in this area.# Pain may worsen due to sneezing, coughing or strenuous activity or exercise.o Usually affects older children.o Most cases occur before the age of 40.o Males and females affected in equal number.
