Oncocytoma is a benign epithelial tumour composed of large eosinophilic cells having small, round,benign-appearing nuclei that have large nucleoli. It is thought to arise from the intercalated cells of collecting ducts. Ultrastructurally the eosinophilic cells have numerous mitochondria.
