Capsulated organism -

Klebsiella consist of non-motile capsulated rods that grow well on ordinary media , forming large shaped mucoid colonies of varying degresss of stickness. they are sho , plump, straight rods . the capsule is often prominent and can be made out even in Gram stained smears as haloes around the bacilli .
