Epiblepharon comprises an extra horizontal fold of skin stretching across the anterior lid margin. It can be seen in hypeelorism and congenital epicanthus. Since it is a congenital condition, it has no relation to trauma fold of skin and conjunctiva turned inwards. Usually resolves within the first few years of life. Surgery indicated if it persists or there is significant corneal trauma due to the associated trichiasis. Surgery involves removal of the excess fold of skin
