A i.e. Manage simple ailments VHGs should be competent enough to carry out some specific functions in areas such as communicable diseases, environmental sanitation and personal hygiene, MCH care, immunization, family planning, nutrition, registration of vital events, treatment of minor ailments first aid during emergency and mental health.
