Oxytocin is used for the second trimester induced aboion as an adjunct to prostaglandins.Other indications of oxytocin use includes induction and augmentation of labour,active management of third stage of labour,atonic PPH,suction evacuation of aboion,breast engorgrment in the post natal period....etc..
