During the autopsy of suicidal hanging, the finding which is unlikely to be found is:

Ligature mark in hanging: Site: Usually above the hyoid bone. Size/shape: Depends on the type of material used. Presence of two-ligature marks-- after few minutes of hanging, it might have slipped fuher down producing second ligature mark. Direction: It runs obliquely, backwards, non-continuous, upwards and towards the point of suspension. Suspension peak: Mark is noncontinuous because of a gap at the nape of neck, and hair intervening between ligature material and the skin underneath. Skin at the site: Usually depressed/grooved, pale in color, but later becomes yellowish brown, dry, hard and parchment-like. Subcutaneous tissue underneath the ligature mark is dry, white, firm and glistening. Prominent Ecchymosis and bruises at the edges & the floor of the ligature mark are suggestive of ligature strangulation
