Though Persistent Primary Hyperplastic Vitreous (PHPV) is found to be associated with many chromosomal abnormalities, the most common trisomy associated with it is Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome). Trisomy 18, 21 are also in rare occasions associated with PHPV.
