This patient suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Preferential serotonergic reuptake inhibitors (PSRIs), the medications most effective in treating OCD, mainly inhibit there uptake of serotonin into nerve cells. These medications include clomipramine, fluoxetine, seraline, paroxetine, citalopram, escitalopram, and fluvoxamine.
