Adverse effects Cyclosporin is nephrotoxic--the major limitation, and impairs liver function. Other adverse effects are sustained rise in BP, precipitation of diabetes, anorexia, lethargy, hyperkalaemia, hyperuricaemia, oppounistic infections, hirsutism, gum hyperplasia, tremor and seizures.
