True about Mania:

(B) Elivation of mood # Elevated, Expansive or Irritable Mood: The elevated mood can pass through four stages depending on the severity of manic episode: Euphoria (mild elevation of mood): Increased sense of psychological well-being and happiness not in keeping with ongoing events. This is seen in hypomania (Stage I) Elation (moderate elevation of mood): Feeling of confidence and enjoyment along with increased psychomotor activity.> This is classical of mania (Stage II).> Exaltation (Severe elevation of mood): Intense elation with delusion of grandeur; seen in severe mania (Stage III)> Ecstasy (very severe elevation of mood): Intense sense of rapture of blissfulness; seen in delirious of stuporous mania (Stage IV).
