A large Round worm burden can lead to malnutrition and weakness, and a mass of worms may lead to bowel obstruction. Wandering ascaris also traverse internal organs rarely leading to biliary obstruction, hepatic abscess, acute pancreatitis, acute appendicitis, or hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
