A nodule of 2 cm in left thyroid diagnosed as papillary Ca. Treatment of choice is:

Papillary adenocarcinoma accounts for 85% of cancers of the thyroid gland. The tumor usually appears in early adult life and presents as a solitary nodule. For papillary carcinoma over 1 cm, acceptable operations are near-total or total thyroidectomy. For solitary papillary carcinomas less than 1 cm, thyroid lobectomy is adequate treatment.
