The median age at diagnosis is 2 yrs. 90% of cases are diagnosed before the age of 5 yrs. NB may develop at any site of sympathetic nervous system, most NB arises in the abdomen, either in the adrenal glands or in retroperitoneal sympathetic ganglia.
