Capacity of producing IgG starts at what age -

But these antibodies are passively transferred to the baby from mother (i.e., maternal antibodies),o During next few- months, the maternal IgG antibodies steadily decrease.o When healthy baby is about 2-3 months old, the immune system starts producing its own IgG antibodies.o Once healthy babies reach six months of age, their IgG productin reaches at normal level.Note:o IgM antibodies production starts before birth only (3-6 months before), but at very lowr level.
