C i.e. Abdominal sepsis Succinyl choline may cause life threatning hyperkalemia in Burn injuryQ, Massive trauma Q, Neurological disorder (ex paraplegia) Q, Tetanus Q and Extensive soft tissue & muscle injuryQ. Maximum chances of hyperkalemia is usually in 7-10 days following injury and between 3 days & 6 months after onset of paraplegia. Hyperkalemia may lead to cardiac arrest refractory to routine CPR. Duration of action is prolonged in Pregnancy, Hypothermia, liver failure, Renal failure, Low level of Pseudocholinestrase.
