Following tests are available for evaluation of epiphora: For mechanical obstruction:- Regurgitation test, fluorescein dye test, lacrimal syringing test, Jones dye test, dacryocystography. For functional (physiological) obstruction due to lacrimal pump failure:- Dacryoscintigraphy or radionucleotide dacryocystography (more sensitive), Fluorescein dye disappearance test.
