Thayer Martin medium is the selective medium for Neisseria gonorrhoeae. There are no specific selective media for Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae and Streptococcus pneumoniae. All these three organisms are fastidious and are therefore usually cultured on blood agar/ chocolate agar.
