The common sites are ovaries*, cul-de-sac including the uterosacral ligaments, peritoneum overlying the bladder, sigmoid colon, back of the uterus, intestinal coils and appendix.It can also be seen in umbilicus following operation* in laparotomy scars, in tubal stumps following sterilization.
