About 10-15% women experiences episodes ofDUB in the reproductive years of their life.It is common during extremes of reproductive life following pregnancy,during lactation. The endometral abnormalities may be primary or secondary to incoordination in the hypothalamo-pituatary ovarian axis. It is thus more prevalent in extremes of reproductive period. DUB is more prvalent in extremes of Reproductive period. In childbearibg period ,MC cause of menorrhagia is DUB.
