Propionic acid can be conveed into carbohydrate Odd chain fatty acid can act as substrates of Gluconeogenesis, sincePropionyl CoA,the product of their oxidationcan enter TCA cycle through formation of Succinyl CoA (see fig), hence can contribute towards glucose production.
