Carbamazepine, phenytoin are the first line drugs in GTCS. Valporate, phenobarbitone are the second choice of drugs. Alternative/add on drugs are Lamotrigine, Gabapentine, topiramate, methadone, levetiracetam. Ethosuximide is used in absent seizures. Propofol is a general anesthetic.
