Gluteus medius is supplied by which of the following aery ?

Inferior Gluteal Aery- It is a branch of the anterior division of the internal iliac aery. It enters the gluteal region by passing through the greater sciatic foramen, below the piriformis, along with the inferior gluteal nerve. It supplies - (1) Muscular branches to the gluteus maximus and to all the muscles deep to it below the piriformis; (2) cutaneoum branches to the buttock and the back of the thigh; (3) an aicular branch to the hip joint; (4) Trochanteric and anastomotic branch; (5) an aery to the sciatic nerve which represents the axis aery in this region, and I may at times be quite large; and (6) a coccygeal branch which supplies the area over the coccyx.
