..oral polio vaccine contains live attenuated virus(type1,2,3) grown in monkey kidney cell cuture or human diploid cell culture.its given as a trivalent vaccine.on administration the vccine strains infect intestinal epithelial cellsand is transpoed to payers patches and is circulated to different pas of the body.resulting in the production of circulatory antibodies which prevents the dissemination of virus into the nervous system and thus prevents paralytic polio.intestinal infection stimulates the producton of secretory antibodies 1gA which prevents subsequent infections,thus it induces both local and systemic immunity. ref:park&;s textbook,22 nd ed,pg 187
