RCC commonly arise from the poles of the kidney as a solitary and unilateral tumor,more often in upper pole.The tumor has slight male preponderance(2:1).One significant characteristic is the presence of tumor thrombus in the renal vein which may extend into the vena cava.The clinical features include a triad of gross hematuria ,flank pain,palpable abdominal mass.
