While operating on lower teeth, Inferior Alveolar Nerve block before it enters into Mandibular Foramen on the medial aspect of the Ramus of the Mandible is done. Inferior Alveolar Nerve continues as Mental Nerve so we block this as well, the only unblocked nerve is Buccal Nerve which supplies lateral aspect of the gums & cheek from inside.
