True about endodermal sinus tumors :

-endodermal sinus tumors are also termed yolk sac tumors as they are derived from the primitive yolk sac. - the characteristic microscopic finding is the endodermal sinus or Schiller Duval body. - this is a cystic space lined with a layer of flattened endothelium into which projects a glomerulus like tuft with a central vascular core.
