The nasal septum has bony and cailaginous components. The septal cailage is called quadrilateral cailage, inferiorly it aiculates with maxillary septum. Posteriorly, cailaginous septum aiculates inferoposterior with the vomer, superoposterior with perpendicular plate of the ethmoid.
