Epidermal thickening especially of granular cell layer --* Hypergranulosis. Hyperkeratosis (Thickening of stratum cornuem) Acanthosis (Thickening of Stratum) malpighi. Subepidermal - lichenoid band due to deposition of lymphocytes & histiocytes in upper dermis. Dropping of melanin pigment from damaged keratinocytes of epidermis into dermis -->pigment incontinence.
