1. Acidophilic cells
Somatotrophs → Secrete growth hormone
Lactotrophs → Secrete prolactin
2. Basophilic cells
Corticotrophs → Secrete ACTH, POMC, MSH
Thyrotrophs → Secrete TSH
Gonadotrophs → Secrete FSH, LH
Posterior pituitary secretes ADH and oxytocin.
