Schwaz writes - "Currently CT is probably the single most versatile and cost effective tool for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer." CSDT writes - "In patients with a typical clinical history and a pancreatic mass on CT, ERCP is unnecessary. In the absence of a mass, an ERCP is indicated. It is the most sensitive test (95%) for detecting pancreatic cancer though specificity in differentiation between cancer and pancreatitis is low."
