Propylthiouracil is the drug of choice for hypehyroidism during pregnancy. Carbimazole when used during pregnancy results in aplasia cutis of the neonate. ACEI and ARBs when given during later half of pregnancy results in fetal growth retardation, hypoplasia of organs and fetal death. So it is contraindicated in pregnancy.
