Cerebellar atrophy is seen in subcortical dementia, therefore, it is not a feature of Alzheimer's disease as it is a cortical type of dementia. Pathology in Alzheimer's disease Gross:- Atrophy of gyri, widening of sulci, enlarged ventricles. Microscopy :- Senile plaque, neurofibrillary tangles, neuronal loss, synaptic loss, granulovascular degeneration.
