A

B
Invariably the first manifestation of Meniere's disease
C

D
Is a polysynaptic reflex
High-Yield Explanation
Stapedial reflex - A loud noise is put in either the ipsilateral or contralateral ear and the reflex causes the stapedius tendon to contract suddenly. This may be seen on tympanometry as a flick and is evidence of a functioning VII nerve down to this branch. Absence of the reflex may be result of many other disorders (eg. Hearing) as well as VII nerve lesion.
