Serum potassium increases by approximately 0.5 MEg/L a few minutes after injection of succinylcholine severe hyperkalemia ,occasionally leading to cardiac arrest. Conditions are:- Major dennervation injuries Spinal cord transaction Peripheral dennervations Prolonged immobility Trauma Burn And very rarely stroke.
