Microbial laboratory culture wastes are category No. 3. Category 3 wastes have color code Yellow or red. Wastes discarded in yellow bag are : (i) Category 1 (Human anatomical waste), (ii) Category 2 (Animal waste), (iii) Category 3 (Microbiology and Biotechnology waste), and (iv) Category 6 (Solid waste).
