As per Sec.375IPC unlawful sexual intercourse by man with a woman with or without her consent when she is under 18 years of age. The criminal law (Amendment) Act,2013 has increased the previous recomended age of consent from 16 to 18 years, which means any sexual activity irespective of presence of consent with a woman below the age of 18 will constitute statutory rape.
