Radiographically, the lesion is seen as a circular or oval cavity surrounded by a zone of sclerosis,   Treatment is by operation.   Surgical evacuation and curretage is performed with or without bone grafting.   “There are three types of chronic osteomyelitis: Chronic osteomyelitis secondary to acute osteomyelitis.
